Our tool - the finite element method

The finite element method (FEM) originated from the need for solving complex structural analysis problems in civil and aeronautical engineering in the 1960s.

In combination with a thorough understanding of structures and analytical tools, FEM can be a powerful tool to predict the behaviour of a structure ranging from the conceptual design phase to the final sizing. Space Structures relies on NASTRAN, ANSYS ® and OptiStruct ® for state-of-the-art solver technology.
