Project Management is the process of organising and leading the work of a team to achieve all project goals within the given constraints.

Key tasks of the project management team involve:

  • Project planning
  • Allocation of time and budget ressources
  • Schedule and cost control
  • Project deliverables definition and control
  • Project organisation, communication and reporting
  • Project work breakdown (product tree, work packages)
  • Project phasing (typically preliminary design, critical design, manufacturing, assembly & integration, testing)
