The European Data Relay System (EDRS) will be an independent, European satellite system designed to reduce time delays in the transmission of large quantities of data. EDRS-C is a dedicated ~3t heavy satellite based on the SGEO platform of OHB-System.
As part of a consortium with FEM-Consult, Space Structures delivered the following MGSE:
The RMCTD is used for mounting and adjustment of the Repeater Module panels. It is a substitute for the real Central Tube and interfaces to the flight hardware panels.
The RMSS IF is used for payload integration on the Repeater Module. It provides a stiff support to the RM panels prior to mating with the Propulsion Module.
ExoMars is a scientific mission to Mars to mainly investigate whether life once existed or still exists on the planet. The 3.7t Orbiter (+600kg landing module) arrived at Mars in November 2016 and is fully functional. An integration stand and a hoisting device for the complete orbiter were developed by GRADEL.

EDRS-C is a dedicated ~3t heavy satellite based on the SGEO platform of OHB-System. The Hosted Payload Transport Container (HPLTC) will be used to transport (air & road) the pre-integrated hosted payload provided by MDA, Canada, to OHB-System in Bremen. It includes a dedicated damping system and air conditioning.
Space Structures provided the following structures, design and test engineering services:
As the capabilities of telecom satellites go on increasing, so does the quantity of waste heat they generate. Therefore, a Deployable Panel Radiator has been designed by Airbus Defence & Space to supplement the traditional fixed passive radiators employed for telecom satellite thermal control. For vibration qualification testing a dedicated test MGSE was developed by GRADEL to ensure matching interfaces with the test facility and representative boundary conditions.

The Antenna Deployment and Pointing Mechanism (ADPM) Box Structure required dedicated alignment, integration and handling jigs.
Space Structures provided the structures engineering and technical documenation services:
ESA and NASA are collaborating in human space exploration on the ORION programme. Europe supplies the Service Module to support the first crewed mission of the Orion spacecraft. The Service Module provides propulsion, electrical power, water and thermal control as well as maintaining the oxygen and nitrogen atmosphere for the crew. A dedicated jig was designed by Eickworth for the integration and handling of the Helium-Tank.
